Printable puppy invitations can be found online (See Resources). For an unique approach, create homemade invitations with construction paper, puppy stamps and paw-print stencils. Puppy-themed invitations can also be brought online or at a party supply store. Include all the party details.

Create a "Welcome to [kid's name] Dog House" sign. Purchase puppy-themed paper plates, napkins, cups and tablecloths from a party-supply store. Scatter dog bone confetti on the party table. Place puppy Mylar balloons, puppy party banners and stuffed puppy animals through out the party room.

Play Pin the Tail on the Puppy. Fill a puppy pinata with candy and let each kid have a chance to swing at it. Consider having a scavenger hunt and guests can "fetch" puppy chew toys. Kids can also play games puppies like to play, such as Frisbee, tug of war or catch.

Hire a balloon artist to make puppy balloon creations or a face painter to paint kids' faces like a puppy. Play dog-themed music or movies. Kids can make puppy-related crafts, such as decorating dog bowls. A dog costume character or a real puppy can make an appearance.
