Many U.S. coins that were one time in circulation are worth more than their face value. Always save U.S. coins that are more than a century old, and learn which younger coins are worth saving as well.

Pennies

All Lincoln wheat cents, including the common dates, are worth saving. The rarest dates are the 1909-S, 1909-S VDB , 1914-D and 1931-S.

Nickels

Buffalo nickels are always worth saving, but there are also some valuable Jefferson nickels. Save the nickels from late 1930s, the 1950-D and silver war nickels.

Silver Coins
