The saying that you can't judge a book by its cover may be true, but it is possible to enhance the thoughtfulness of a gift by being creative when wrapping it.

    Fabric Ribbon

  1. Use a fabric ribbon in a coordinating pattern or color instead of a paper bow. Simply wrap the ribbon horizontally across the package and secure it in place with double face tape. With a second piece of ribbon, wrap the package in a vertical direction, securing it again with double face tape. If you wish, place a large fabric bow at the intersection of the ribbon, but it is not necessary.
  2. Embellishments

  3. Add an embellishment to the package by attaching a keepsake charm, bookmark or ornament to the name tag on the package.
  4. Shrink Wrap

  5. Using heat activated shrink wrap is a way to professionally wrap a personalized gift basket. Shrink wrap packaging can be embellished with a large bow or fancy ribbon.
  6. Curl the Ribbon

  7. Create a festive ribbon by curling the ends. This is done by opening a pair of scissors and pulling one blade down the ribbon.
  8. Coordinate

  9. When wrapping Christmas presents, wrap them in solid colors and coordinating ribbons according to the color scheme of the ornaments of your Christmas tree.
