Lady Luck was a hotel that used to give away a huge coupon book for everything from a free drink to a free game of Keno. This casino was off Fremont Street but brought in ample customers with offers like the coupon books, gimmicks like a money machine and free photos and low-limit tables.

The Lady Luck Casino opened in 1964. Steadfast AMX sold two floors of the hotel rooms as time-shares in 2002. The CIM Group of Los Angeles, Calif., bought the hotel and casino in 2007.

In July 2009, the first step toward renovation began with the demolition of part of the hotel and casino.

The casino owners must show substantial renovations beyond demolishing the building by December 2009 in order to reap rewards from the city including the donation of nearby land.
Fun Fact

The casino maintained the early 60s feel and decor through the turn of the century, with drawings for the opportunity to grab cash in a wind booth similar to the one on the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
