People who held master of science degrees (MS) in July 2009 earned an average of $43,421 during their first five years of work. During the next 15 years, they averaged $55,487 to $59,072, then earned an average of $82,309 after 20 or more years of work experience.

Master of Arts

As of July 2009, master of arts (MA) graduates earned an average of $41,201 to $45,000 during their first through fourth years of employment and $53,926 to $59,780 for five through 19. With 20 years of work experience or more, MA holders received an average of $77,000.

Master of Business Administration

People with master of business administration (MBA) degrees earned an average of $53,822 to $59,998 during their first four years of employment in July 2009 and earned $63,020 to $77,454 for years five through 19. After achieving 20 years of work experience, MBAs earned an average of $102,292.

Master in Engineering

After receiving a master in engineering (MEng) degree, workers earned an average of $57,500 during their first year of work, $62,084 for years one through four, $73,693 for years five through nine, $90,045 for years 10 through 15, and $121,130 for years 20 and above in July 2009.

Master of Education

In July 2009, master of education (MEd) holders averaged $32,775 during their first year of work, $40,913 for years one through four, $47,626 for years 5 through 9, $54,182 for years 10 through 15, and $62,483 for years 20 and above in July 2009.
