What Do Rose Colors Mean?
A dozen roses, artfully arranged with baby's breath and leather-leaf fern, has always been a meaningful gift. But, over time, each color rose has come to symbolize some different feeling or emotion; it's wise to know the meaning of that color before sending a dozen long-stemmed roses to your grandmother, or that rare bouquet of black roses to your lover. Getting to Know You

If you'd like to get to know someone better, consider sending orange roses to them. Orange roses can indicate a wish or desire to step-up a relationship, or, in a business venture, to send an enthusiastic hope that the venture and partnership is a positive one. Roses with a more pale, peachy hue indicate modesty or bashfulness.

Black Roses and Mixing Colors
-
If you ever do find a black rose, it might be wise not to send it to someone, as black roses have traditionally indicated death. They're also a way to express a farewell. So if you want to express that a relationship is clearly over, then go ahead and send those hard-to-find black roses.
Mixing red and white roses together means unity or a strong, unbreakable bond.
