Side Effects of Bulimia
Bulimia, also known as bulimia nervosa, is a psychological eating disorder that is characterized by repeated episodes of binge eating followed by purging in inappropriate and dangerous ways. Purging methods include vomiting, enemas, fasting, prolonged or excessive use of diuretics and laxatives and compulsive exercising. Most people with bulimia experience unreasonable and misplaced concerns about their weight, shape and overall body image. Bulimia has a number of serious side effects.

Excessive diuretic use can also lead to serious side effects. They include complications with blood pressure, damage to the kidneys and stagnation of body fluids.
