Walking a dog is a great way to spend time with man's best friend. It is also a great exercise for both the walker and his animal companion. However, it is necessary for the dog to adhere to disciplinary boundaries for his own safety and the safety of others. It is the walker's responsibility to ensure the dog is well-behaved

Leash

Dog walkers must always have control of their dog. A dog must always be on a leash with no pulling or chewing on its lead allowed.
Equipment

Unfortunately, mistakes happen even for the most conscientious individuals. Make sure the dog has a collar which fits snugly enough around its neck to ensure he cannot pull free. It is also important to have a current identification tag securely affixed to the collar.

Weather

Be mindful of the elements when walking a dog. Dogs cannot adapt as readily as humans to heat, cold or rain. It is up to the walker to decide if the weather permits taking a stroll.
Behave Properly

Do not allow the dog to jump on individuals or try to attack other dogs. Running after moving vehicles, such as cars and bikes, is to be prohibited along with chasing after people running and/or walking.
Clean Up

Clean up after the dog. Always carry a plastic bag and properly dispose of any dog feces.
