Grand Theft Auto IV for PS3 Weapons

Grand Theft Auto IV is one of the most advanced Grand Theft Auto games and it puts players back into Liberty City, where cops are strict and missions are tough. In order to survive, players must use a variety of weapons within the game.

Hand Combat

Fists or knives can be used for hand-to-hand combat. A baseball bat can be found at many locations as well.

Hand Guns

Grand Theft Auto IV offers two types of handguns. The standard pistol is a version of a Glock pistol and all cops use it. The advanced pistol is known as the Combat Pistol and is based on a Desert Eagle.

Machine Guns

Two types of machine guns are available. The hand-held machine gun known as the Micro-SMG and its bigger counterpart known as the SMG can be purchased or stolen. A player can wield two of these guns at once if needed.

Shotguns/Rifles

Standard pump shotguns are available in GTA IV, along with a combat shotgun, assault rifle, and carbine rifle. Players can also use two types of sniper rifles for long-range shots.

Explosives

Three types of explosives are found in Grand Theft Auto IV. The first is an RPG that launches bazooka-type shells. The Molotov is a wine-bottle bomb that explodes when thrown. The grenade is a useful tool for taking out large groups of people.
