Fall Place Card Ideas

At dinner parties and holiday dinners, some hostesses will use place cards. Instead of pointing everyone to their seat, the hostess puts a little place card on top of each place setting. A guest's name is written on each place card. Special ideas can be used for place cards in the fall.

Card Size

Place cards are about the size of a business card and are usually folded in half to help them stand up.

Card Colors

Fall place card colors could be orange, red, brown, gold and even black. Some cards use two or more of these fall colors.

Card Edges

The edges of your fall place cards could be trimmed with pinking shears. This would give them a neat edge in different shapes.

Card Embellishments

Some hostesses use leaves or other embellishments on their fall place cards. A card embellishment could also be a neat fall-styled card holder.

Names

Fall place cards will require the names of guests. Lots of people use calligraphy pens or paint pens to write the names. Glitter pens are also a popular choice.
