Adopting a pet is a wonderful experience when adopters work with the ASPCA to find the right pet for their family. One of the things to consider when adopting from the ASPCA is the adoption fees and what they cover.

    Fees for Cats

  1. Adult cats can be adopted for around $75 and kittens for around $125.
  2. Fees for Dogs

  3. Adoption fees for dogs run from $75 to $200. Small dogs and puppies have higher adoption fees to help offset costs associated with less adoptable dogs.
  4. Features

  5. The adoption fees include spaying or neutering, if necessary; microchipping; vaccinations; 14 days of free follow-up veterinary care at ASPCA facilities; and a leash and collar or carrier for your pet.
  6. Great Value

  7. You get a lot for your adoption fees, as the above-listed services normally cost hundreds of dollars.
  8. Other Services

  9. The ASPCA also offers free literature for training your new pet and low-cost obedience classes for adopted puppies.
