Retail Position Description
There are many retail positions open for anyone interested in working in a retail store or supermarket. The jobs range from cashiers to managers. Retail positions exist to help customers make purchases quickly and easily.

Cashier

The cashier checks out the merchandise that a person wants. They tally up the purchases, accept money or credit cards, give change and put the items in a bag.
Salespeople

Salespeople ascertain what the customer wants and help them find it by directing them to the item or section where they can find the item.

Stocker

A stocker makes sure the shelves have plenty of merchandise on them. He may also help unload the trucks that bring the merchandise to the store.
Customer Service

The people who work in customer service handle returns and exchanges. They also handle any complaints the customer may have.
Retail Manager

The retail manager overlooks all aspects of the retail store. He handles problems from the staff as well as from customers that other staff members can't handle.
