Chutney is a tasty south-asian condiment similar to salsa or relish. This flavorful and versatile mealtime sauce has many different manifestations. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Coriander

    • Coriander, another name for cilantro, is the main ingredient in coriander chutney. In addition, spices such as chili, garlic and ginger may be incorporated to give this flavorful condiment a kick.

    Mint Chutney

    • Mint chutney is perfect for spicy food as it gives off a soothing aroma and taste and calms the stomach. Ingredients to mint chutney include mint leaves, fennel, coriander and salt.

    Tamarind Chutney

    • Tamarind Chutney, also known as Meethi chutney (meaning sweet in Hindi) is made of tamarind, or the Indian variety of date.

    Mango Chutney

    • Mango chutney is composed of unripe green mangos, and is a mix of sweetness and spice. Cinnamon, paprika and ginger may give it a rich, spicy flavor.
