Team building events can take many forms. Games like bowling or volleyball where everyone can play is a great team building idea. Adventure camps that occur off-site are another choice. Ropes courses or other challenge courses can help build team skills.

Costs of team building training vary, depending on the type and location. Training that occurs at your site during the course of a day can be very cost effective. Wilderness or adventure camps can be expensive, depending on how many people are participating.

Most team building training sessions start out with ice breakers that make everyone feel more comfortable and help participants get to know one another. It helps to provide snacks and meals, if the training is a day-long event, and give away items such as coffee mugs. If participants are attending camps or other off-site locations, t-shirts are a nice touch.
Follow Up

Send participants an electronic survey after the training event helps you obtain valuable feedback for future events. If electronic surveys are not a possible, give out paper surveys after the event and give participants a few minutes to fill them out.
