- This mode puts players into a storyline where they can travel around and battle other characters. Players also follow the game's story and must make through in order to defeat the game and open up multiple characters.
- The popular chess spin-off pits players in a deadly chess match where the pieces actually face each other in order to win a spot on the board. Power-ups and other moves help players gain the strategic edge.
- Players must solve different puzzles in order to get their selected character to perform a move. Once enough puzzles are solved, the player defeats the opponent and wins the puzzle. There are over five Mortal Kombat characters to choose from for this game.
- The game features many returning characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Baraka and Jade. It also features new characters like Ashrah, Havik, Onaga and Kobra. All of the characters have unique abilities that set them apart from others.
