    • Dandelion tea has the potential to fight cancer. During a Japanese study conducted in the 1970s, the extract inhibited the growth of cancer cells in mice.

    Diuretic

    • Dandelion tea is a diuretic that helps remove excess water from your body. It helps to heal urinary tract infections, pre-menstrual problems and high blood pressure. The tea helps to replenish potassium that's lost during urination.

    Digestion

    • Taraxacin, which is found in dandelion, helps the liver and digestive system. The herb helps to digest fatty acids, and stimulates bile flow.

    Side Effects

    • Dandelion can aggravate problems with gallstones, or the gallbladder. The herb can also cause diarrhea or nausea in some cases.
