    Management

    • Police officers and detectives who move through the ranks of the police force to become supervisors and managers earn an annual mean salary of $76,820. The pay for police officer supervisors and managers ranges between $46,000 and $114,300.

    Fiah and Game Wardens

    • Police officers who investigate crimes involving wildlife and fishing laws, fish and game wardens earns an annual mean salary of $56,030. The salary for fish and game wardens ranges between $30,400 and $81,710.

    Railroad and Transit Police

    • In cities, transit officers protect the rail lines, subways and other public transportation. In 2008, they earned an annual mean salary of $48,540 with a range of between $31,300 and $72,700.
