Dog walkers provide a necessary and valuable service to many households. Dogs need a certain amount of exercise and care each day. Hiring a dog walker on a daily or even weekly basis can provide several benefits to both owners and their pets.

    Health

  1. Regular visits from a dog walker ensure your dog is getting a scheduled amount of exercise. Proper exercise can keep your dog from becoming overweight and unhealthy.
  2. Behavior

  3. Giving your dog the opportunity to walk each day releases extra energy. This keeps your dog calmer and quieter. A tired dog is less likely to misbehave at home.
  4. Training

  5. Obedience training is often offered by dog walkers in addition to their walking services. Your dog can learn basic commands such as sit, stay and heel from an expert.
  6. Peace of mind

  7. Even the best trained dogs can only go for so long without a bathroom break. If you are away from home for several hours, hire a dog walker to take care of your dog's needs.
  8. Socialization

  9. Many services have an option to walk your dog in a park or walk your dog with other dogs. In a controlled environment, this is an excellent way to socialize your dog.
