About Publix Cooking School

Publix Apron's Cooking School is a culinary education program that provides classes in Florida and Georgia, with four of its five locations located in Florida. According to its website, Publix provides classes "taught by accomplished professionals."

Types of Classes

Types of classes listed on the Publix website include Celebrity Chef classes, Talk of the Town (with accomplished local chefs), Pairing Topics (exploring the pairings between beers, wine, and food), Cooking Techniques, Special Topics, Kid's Topics (children 8 to 12), and Teen's Topics (ages 12 to 16).

Private Classes

Publix Apron provides private cooking classes, including Adult Hands On, Adult Demonstration-Style, Kids Classes and Birthday Parties.

Pricing

According to its website, Publix Apron's pricing includes recipes, demonstration and samples of the food prepared. Only paid customers may participate in classes.

Registering for a Class

Payment for classes must be received at the time of registration, which can be done via telephone or by stopping by the event planning desk at any of the Publix Apron's Cooking School locations.

Class Format

Classes generally follow a demonstration style, with students watching the chefs and/or instructors demonstrating methods behind the food's preparation. Students get to taste the food. Some classes also follow a more hands-on approach, allowing students to actively participate in the learning process.
