Bed bugs are small pests found in dark and enclosed spaces such as bedrooms and dormitories. The bugs don't carry diseases like other pests, but they are harmful to humans because they bite and bite repeatedly. These bugs are even worse than some other pests since they don't respond to common pesticides.

Bed bugs live and feed on the warm blood of humans and animals. They have a nesting mentality and live together in large groups similar to birds and bats.
Hiding Spots

Bed bugs generally hide in areas near the human body, particularly in bedrooms. They tend to hide during the day inside the mattress, box spring or bed frame, and only come out to feed. They may also hide in cluttered areas such as dirty laundry or closets.

Identification

These bugs are very small and seldom grow larger than a quarter of an inch. They have an oval shaped body, with a flat head and bottom. The bugs look light or dark brown, but appear darker or even black after feeding.
Bites

The bites of bed bugs are easy to identify because they look like small red bumps on the skin that itch right after the bite. They're often found in groups of two, three or more as the bed bugs feed on several nearby spots at one time.
Signs

The biting of the bed bugs is only one sign of an infestation. Those infested will also notice dark streaks on their sheets and furniture, as well as skin cases left behind. They may also see the bugs in certain areas of their house.
