Aruba Destination Weddings
Many couples choose to travel to Aruba to exchange their vows, because the island has endless beaches. However, couples should note the legal requirements to marry in Aruba, as well as appropriate wedding apparel.

Weather
-
Aruba's weather remains pleasant around 82 degrees and is not in the hurricane zone, so couples do not have to cancel their weddings at the last minute due to hurricanes.
Legal Requirements
-
According to Destinationweddings.com, couples need to submit their legal documentation to Aruban officials at least one month before the wedding. These documents include birth certificates, a form saying both may legally marry, and passports for the bride, groom, and witnesses. The website states that you must also pay the wedding fee, which is $80 for a weekday ceremony and $200 for a weekend.

Wedding Types
-
If a couple wants a legal ceremony, they must be married in city hall in Oranjestad. If they are renewing their vows in Aruba, the island has stretches of beaches along Eagle and Palm Beach to hold a romantic ceremony. Aside from the beaches on Renaissance Island, which belongs to the Renaissance Aruba Resort, the rest of the beaches are public.
The Venue
-
Aruba Weddings for You works in conjunction with several of the Divi Resorts in Aruba. Couples may select get married at sunset on the sandy beach at the Divi Village Golf and Beach Resort or exchange their vows in the outdoor Sunset Beach Bistro at the Divi Aruba Phoenix Resort. You may explore other resorts along the beach on your own or through another destination wedding company.
Wedding Apparel
-
During civil ceremonies, couples may not wear revealing clothes such as swimwear or other beach clothes. Couples may wear whatever they wish during a beach ceremony. Keep in mind wedding gowns and tuxes are difficult to find in a resort area and should be brought along if desired.
