What to Bring on the Plane for International Flights

When traveling internationally via plane, there are certain items you will want to take with you to ensure a comfortable flight.

Entertain Yourself

While most international flights provide fliers with one or more in-flight movies, these do not begin until an hour or so into the flight. It is wise to bring a music player, such as an iPod or CD player, or a crossword puzzle book to occupy yourself upon take-off.

Electronics

Not everyone enjoys the in-flight movies, so bringing a laptop or portable DVD player with a few of your favorite films might suit you better. Not only will you be able to watch what you want, but the time will fly by as well.

Reading Material

If in-flight magazines about travel do not meet your fancy, you might want to bring some magazines or books with you.

Snacking

Since the quality of airplane food differs between airlines, it is a good idea to bring some snacks in case what you are served seems unappetizing. Granola bars and other protein-type bars are easy to pack and ward off hunger.

3-1-1

With airport security being raised, it is important to remember the 3-1-1 motto: 3.4-oz. containers in a 1-qt. resealable clear bag. One such bag is allowed per passenger.
