Common Side Effects

The most common side effects of Augmentin include diarrhea, nausea, skin rashes, urticaria, vomiting and vaginitis. All other side effects affected less than 1 percent of patients studied in the clinical trial.
Hypersensitivity Reactions

Skin rashes and other skin reactions may occur while taking Augmentin. Many times, hypersensitivity reactions can be controlled with the use of antihistamines.

Anxiety, confusion and insomnia are some of the reactions Augmentin has on the central nervous system.

Renal side effects, tooth discoloration, anemia and complications with the liver have been reported in rare circumstances.
