- Magnets are great because guests can put them on their fridge and constantly be reminded about the date of your big event.
- Postcards are inexpensive, easy to make or have printed and can even be passed out, so they're perfect if you have to send out hundreds or thousands of save the dates. The possibilities of how you can design the postcards are endless.
- A singing telegram is very unique and sure to leave a big impression. Pay to have a singing telegram sent to each of your guests, informing them of the upcoming event and the date to mark on their calendars. This can be recorded and sent as a CD, in a card or even an email, but face-to-face singing is sure to be the most memorable.
- Using photo booth strips is perfect for a wedding. Have the couple sit in a photo booth and take silly pictures while holding a sign that has the date on it--or have them hold two signs, one that reads "save the date" and the other with the actual date on it.
- Send a message in a bottle. Have your message with the party information and date printed or written in calligraphy on a scroll. Place the scroll in a bottle of some sort and deliver the message in a bottle to each guest. This is great for tropical adventures or beach getaways.
- Have fake luggage tags made with the event and date printed on them. Mail these out for a destination wedding or event, as it will remind guests there is travel involved and they need to plan ahead accordingly.
