What Can a PC Tablet Do?

Tablet PCs are lightweight and small, providing flexibility and mobility to busy professionals. Using the touch screen allows users to quickly enter information in their own handwriting and then store the information directly onto the PC.

  1. Types

    • The two types of Tablet PCs include the Convertible Tablet and the Pure Tablet. The screen of a Convertible Tablet can be twisted 180 degrees and laid flat on top of the keyboard. In addition, the Keyboard is detachable. The Pure Tablet has no moving parts, and is also called a Slate.

    Dimensions

    • Tablet PCs are about 8.5 inches by 12 inches, and the screen is about 10 inches. Pure Tablet PCs are thinner than the Convertible Tablet PCs.

    Touch Screen

    • The touch screen is used with a special pen called a stylus. Users can write notes or data onto the screen, then save them to the computer for future use. Certain software can convert handwritten work into text.
