Effects of Human Growth Hormone

Human Growth Hormone (HGH) is a naturally produced hormone inside the body. It is responsible for the proper growth and development of the body over the years. However, taking synthetic HGH has some serious medical side effects.

  1. Enlargement of the Heart

    • Excessive usage of HGH has been known increase the size of the heart to fatal levels. This enlargement is not reversible.

    Acromegaly

    • HGH has been linked to the overgrowth of the facial bones and tissues. This, coupled with excessive hair growth, drastically alters a person's physical appearance, and permanently.

    Lowers Blood Sugar

    • HGH lowers the blood sugar levels in the body. This can lead to the risk of falling into a diabetic coma for those with diabetes.

    Liver Damage

    • HGH can cause excessive liver damage. The influx of growth hormones makes the liver work overtime and increases the chance of permanent damage.

    Water Retention

    • HGH makes the body retain water, prohibiting natural filtering of it through and out of the body. This also makes a person appear heavier.

    Death

    • In the case of acromegaly and other dire side effects, a person may die from prolonged use of HGH. The toll the man-made version takes on the body is extremely harsh.
