Leather

Genuine leather upholstery fabric can be made from calf, cow or lamb-hide. Leather can be dyed in a variety of colors. Additionally, leather can be embossed with a pattern or decorative design or distressed, meaning that it is soft and wrinkled in appearance.
Suede

Upholstery suede is made of leather that has been treated to have an extra soft, almost furry feel to the touch. Increasingly, imitation suede is being used in place of genuine. Faux suede feels as luxurious as genuine suede, but is made with polyester and cotton fibers at a much lower price
