Smart Lipo Side Effects
Smart Lipo is a laser-assisted lipolysis system which can take the place of traditional liposuction. It is minimally invasive way to remove fat and is done in an outpatient setting. A small tube containing a laser fiber is inserted into your skin. It is moved back and forth, aiming energy at the fat cells. This causes them to break and drain away. Downtime

Patients are usually advised to rest for a day or two following Smart Lipo. Some people can go right back to work, but some rest is recommended.
Discomfort

There is no pain during the procedure because of anesthesia. However, you may be achy and have mild pain once it wears off. It will feel like you worked your muscles too hard.

There may be some bruising following a Smart Lipo procedure, because of the stress the tubes causes under the skin.
Bandages

Patients need to wear compression bandages following the procedure for an average of two weeks. This compares to the six weeks needed following traditional liposuction.
Appearance

Skin will look more normal after about three months. The insertion point will virtually disappear and the skin should contract as it heals.
