African-Americans may find it difficult to find proper acne products for their skin. The problem comes in thinking that they can't use the same products as people of other ethnicities. Acne is the same for everyone---regardless of skin color---with the same causes and treatment. Pigmentation and the amount of melanin determine skin color. When it comes to acne there are no "black" or "white" products, just good ones and bad.
