Flora-Q is another name for Lactobacillus acidophilus, a bacteria species that is a part of the gastrointestinal system's normal flora. It functions by maintaining a healthy environment within the intestines, by preventing the infections of harmful bacteria.

    • Side effects are generally caused by allergic reactions to taking Flora-Q. These include swelling of the throat, mouth or face, as well as breathing difficulties and hives on the skin.
