A soaking tub is a relaxation device that's larger than a regular bathtub and holds deeper water for the purpose of relaxation.

These include garden tubs, which may be found in a sunroom with a garden view; Roman tubs, which are fitted onto a deck and that people lower themselves into; and Japanese tubs, which are the deepest tubs and have room for a person to soak her entire body.

  7. Soaking tubs relieve stress from the body. It can also be very soothing and romantic when couples can soak together in some of the larger soak tubs.

  9. Soaking tubs vary greatly in price. They're well over $1,000 and up, depending on the style, type and extra features.
