Veteran Lodging Benefits

Charitable organizations and the Veteran's Administration (VA) housing facilities provides lodging benefits to homeless veterans and others who are transitioning. Hotel discounts are available across the country for veterans whether vacationing or working in an area. Further VA benefits include home loans for permanent lodging.

    • Many major hotels offer anywhere from 15 to 30 percent discounts on the price of rooms, but they often require advance registration. With the hotel discount, you may enjoy continental breakfasts (where offered) along with amenities offered at the facility.

    • VA housing facilities generally house groups so privacy is limited, while charitable organizations providing benefits can offer monetary assistance. VA housing facilities are generally located on the grounds of a VA Hospital; your local VA representative can offer assistance locating one and processing your request.

    • Since many benefits are offered to veterans, checking with your local VA representative may reveal other lodging discounts, such as fishing lodges and campgrounds.
