Laser hair removal is a process that uses lasers to remove hair from beneath the surface of the skin. Though it's fairly pricey, it comes with the benefit of keeping hair off longer than shaving or waxing.

    Misconceptions

  1. Many people think that laser hair removal is a simple process that takes only one session. In actuality, it takes a minimum of three sessions to remove the hair.
  2. Two Years

  3. In general, laser hair removal keeps hair off for two years. After this time, the person needs to have additional treatments.
  4. Lighter Hair

  5. People with lighter hair such as shades of blond and gray see better results from laser hair removal. They typically last two years before needing another treatment and may last even longer.
  6. Darker Hair

  7. Darker hair is often thicker than lighter hair and grows back more quickly. People with this color hair may see hair growing back within a year after the treatment.
  8. Considerations
