Rubber Bracelets for a Cause
In recent years, rubber bracelets have been used to represent and support different causes. They are often designed and sold as a fundraiser. Though there are many different varieties, each different color can typically be linked to a specific cause.

Red
-
Red bracelets are typically worn for heart disease prevention or HIV/AIDS awareness. However, Stephen Colbert has recently added another cause with his Wrist Strong campaign. This satirical campaign raises money for the Yellow Ribbon Fund.
Orange
-
The two most common uses of orange rubber bracelets for a cause are for multiple sclerosis and the American Cancer Society. ACS uses the bracelets to promote a smoke-free lifestyle.
-
Yellow
-
Yellow bracelets most commonly are connected to Lance Armstrong's LiveStrong campaign. The first to use rubber bracelets as a fundraiser, LiveStrong supports cancer research.
Green
-
Environmental groups have begun to use green bracelets to raise awareness for their causes. Messages such as "Save Our Earth" are frequently printed on rubber bracelets for these groups.
Blue
-
Blue rubber bracelets are currently used by more different causes than any other color. In the UK, the biggest blue bracelet campaign is anti-bullying. US groups have used the color to represent an anti-Bush vote, autism awareness and tsunami relief.
Pink
-
As with the pink ribbons, pink rubber bracelets are typically used for breast cancer awareness and fundraising. Target has made and sold these bracelets to support cancer research.
