Pink Warrior Breast Cancer Symbols
Warriors in Pink is one of many corporate-sponsored programs to help in the battle against breast cancer. Symbols are an important part of the program, and they adorn various types of merchandise and are used in the Warriors in Pink campaign in several ways.

Warriors in Pink is sponsored by the Ford Motor Company. It includes clothing and gear that is imprinted with various warrior symbols, each with a different meaning.
Symbols

There are 12 Warriors in Pink symbols, each with a specific meaning. They are: warriors, for power and courage; crowned warriors, representing both genders; plants, for life, growth and survival; a feather, for kinship; a dove, for peace in the battle; a spiral, to represent life; a warrior's circle showing strength in numbers; angel wings, to honor those who have died; war paint, showing readiness to battle; a tree of love, for standing tall; a chevron, for protection; and a heart, for standing strong.

Purpose

Clothing and gear with the warrior symbols can be purchased through the Warriors in Pink website (see Resources). All net proceeds from the sales are donated to the Susan G. Koman for the Cure breast cancer charity.
Types

Besides being imprinted on clothing and gear, the symbols are being used for several other purposes. People whose lives have been affected by breast cancer can use them to create a square on a virtual quilt. And there is also a Warriors in Pink model Mustang that is being sold to benefit breast cancer education and research.
