Cushion Shuffleboard Rules
Cushion shuffleboard is an indoor version of the popular shuffleboard game, where players push puck-shaped objects called weights along a table. The object of the game is to score the most points, which is determined by the placement of the weights at the conclusion of the game.

Sportsmanship
-
The official rules for shuffleboard mandate good sportsmanship. This includes stepping back from the table while opponents shuffle their weights.
Foul Lines
-
The shuffleboard table has clearly marked foul lines. If a weight crosses these foul lines either when shuffled or when knocked out of play by an opponent's weight, it is removed from the table and placed into the alley of the table.

Dead Weights
-
A weight that is shuffled upside down is called a dead weight and must be removed from the table. Additionally, if a weight moves out of bounds and then ricochets back into play, it is considered a dead weight.
Restrictions
-
If the lower half of a person's body extends over the table or if they hold their weight in hand while the other player shuffles, a penalty of one point is given to their opponent. Touching the table with either hand while shuffling or at any point when an opponent is shuffling also results in a one point penalty.
Hanging Weight
-
If a weight is partially off the board, it is considered a hanging weight. After the opponent's turn, any hanging weight that remains on the table is considered a legal weight.
