How Long Does It Take to Become a Radiology Tech?

    Two-Year Program

    Four-Year Program

    • Four-year programs lead to a Bachelor's degree and certification. A Bachelor's degree can open more career opportunities and increases earning potential.

    Certification

    • After completing an educational program, you must pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification examination.

    Ongoing Recertification

    • After becoming a tech, it is necessary to be re-certified every 2 years. To be re-certified, you have to commit to 24 hours of continuing education during that 2-year period.
