Vegetarian foods do not involve meat. For this reason, they are generally lower in fat and calories. When it comes to grilling, vegetables can be prepared by themselves or in conjunction with other foods to make various dishes and meals. Vegetarian foods have a tendency to stick to the grill, so they need to be oiled.

    Squash

  1. Yellow squash and zucchini are roasted on a grill and used as side dishes. They can also be sliced lengthwise and made into sandwiches.
  2. Eggplant

  3. Eggplant is another vegetarian food that is grilled. It can be served over pasta with the addition of sauce and cheese for eggplant Parmesan.
  4. Pizza

  5. Pizza can also be made on a grill. Dough is made, flattened out thinly, and then oiled and placed on the grill. The dough gets turned over and after it no longer sticks, vegetables, cheese and sauce are added.
  6. Tofu

  7. Tofu is a common vegetarian food that can be cooked in many ways. Marinade tofu in barbecue sauce before grilling.
  8. Mushrooms

  9. Portobello mushrooms are large and are often grilled as a vegetarian entree. They are often marinated with balsamic vinegar and olive oil before grilling.
