A Trojan horse is a computer program that damages your computer and is capable of erasing the entire hard drive. Even those that are computer savvy have a difficult time avoiding certain computer viruses.

    • The Win32 Trojan is a backdoor threat, meaning that, once infected, the virus' creators can gain access to your computer and from it can also infect other computers.

    Potential for Damage

    • Since the Win32 Trojans disable most free and low-grade security systems, the computer will also become infected with a number of accompanying Trojans and spyware.

    Warnings

    • The virus usually appears as either a fake security client or in numerous pop-ups that warn about the need to remove the virus before the computer crashes.

    • Insufficient virus protection allows the opening of infected email, leading to the introduction of the Win32 Trojan into the system.
