Tongkat ali, or eurycoma longifolia, is a plant that is native to Indonesia and Malaysia. While the natives in the area often pick the fruit from this pant, they also use the root of the plant for many different medicinal purposes.

    Low Testosterone

  1. Tongkat ali increases testosterone in males, and is used in many parts of the world as an alternate treatment for low testosterone levels.
  2. Building Muscle

  3. Because of the increased testosterone produced by tongkat ali, many bodybuilders use it to help build muscle.
  4. Fever

  5. Tongkat ali has shown some antipyretic qualities, and has been used by some "alternative medicine" doctors to help lower fevers.
  6. Cancer Treatment

  7. Certain studies have come to suggest that tongkat ali can induce apoptosis in cancer cells, causing said cancer cells to die while stopping the spreading of other cells.
  8. Aphrodisiac and Erectile Dysfunction Treatment

  9. Tongkat ali is widely used as an aphrodisiac. In fact, if taken properly in the right doses, it works as a rather effective erectile dysfunction treatment.
