Bowling Green State University is located in Bowling Green, Ohio, about 25 miles south of Toledo, down I-75. Founded in 1910, originally as a "normal school" (teacher college), BGSU now offers a variety of degrees in a broad range of subjects.

  1. Types of Academic Colleges

    • Undergraduate students studying at Bowling Green State University will choose a major that is housed within one of the five main colleges of study: Arts & Sciences, Business Administration, Education & Human Development, Health & Human Services, Musical Arts, or Technology. Graduate programs are also available.

    Time Frame of Courses

    • Courses are offered at Bowling Green State University year-round. Fall semester runs from late August to mid-December. Spring semester runs from mid-January to early May. Two 6-week summer sessions are offered. The first is mid-May to late June; the second is late June to early August. A special 8-week session starts in mid-June.

Women's teams include baseball, basketball, cross country, gymnastics, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track and volleyball.
