A life skills coach is someone who helps people deal with challenges and change. The coach teaches others how to do the basic tasks needed to survive in society. The life skills coach offers this training for those who have challenges in their lives.

  1. When someone must learn how to do tasks using a new method, possibly because of injury, a life skills coach can help him adjust and learn.
  2. Anger Management

  3. For some individuals, anger management can be a very difficult skill. A life skills coach can work with individuals to help them adjust to situations that result in them getting angry, and teach them how to handle their anger.
  4. Assimilate Released Criminals Back Into Society

  5. After serving time in jail, it can be hard for a former prisoner to adjust to returning to society. A life skills coach can help her learn how to adjust. This can include tasks such as creating bank accounts and finding housing.
  6. Mentally Handicapped

  7. Life skills coaches assist the mentally disabled as they try to learn to do daily activities.
  8. Death of a Spouse

  9. When a loved one passes away, it is a life-changing experience for the widower. For those who relied on their loved one to manage day-to-day household activities, a life skills coach can teach them skills such as balancing a checkbook, budgeting and learning to live on their own.
