Where Are Dolce & Gabbana Sunglasses Made?
Luxottica, the manufacturer of Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses, chose a particular area of Italy as the primary manufacturing site because of its tradition of fine eyewear craftsmen. Does this Spark an idea?

Home of Dolce & Gabbana
-
Dolce & Gabbana, as well as the less expensive D&G line, are primarily made in Agordo, Italy. This snow-swept region is home to generations of eyeglass craftsmen and Luxottica's international headquarters.
Six Factories in Italy
-
Luxottica also manufactures its sunglass lines, including Dolce & Gabbana, at six factories all over Italy. Some Dolce styles are made at one, some at another, depending on time and that particular factory's needs.
-
More Factories in China
-
Two more factories are in China. Here, Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses are also made, saving the company shipping costs by providing a "local" factory for those seeking the brand in Asia.
Agordo HQ
-
Agordo, Italy, is a small village nestled in the northeastern corner of the country. It has a population of roughly 4,500 people.
The Men Behind Dolce & Gabbana
-
The brand was launched in 1985 by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana. They have since become internationally known as fashion icons.
The Rise of D&G
-
Started in 1994, the edgier younger "sibling" of Dolce & Gabbana was quickly embraced by the young, and young at heart. Now a fashion must-have on its own, D&G is also the mark of a truly fashion-forward individual.
