TaxACT is income tax preparation software by 2nd Story Software. TaxACT gives the user the ability to do her own federal, state and corporate taxes even if she has very little accounting experience.

    History

  1. 2nd Story Software created TaxACT in 1998. Over the years, it has developed into several different versions for different individual needs.

  3. TaxACT takes the stress out of doing personal or corporate income taxes. Filing taxes is as simple as answering questions, typing in numbers and a few mouse clicks to complete the process.

  5. TaxACT is used to prepare federal, state or corporate income taxes without the need for a CPA or other type of bookkeeper.
  6. Types

  7. TaxACT is available as stand alone programs, which can be purchased and downloaded or sent to the buyer's home on CD. A free version of the personal income tax program is available online.
  8. Time Frame

  9. TaxACT has a very small learning curve so the user can complete his taxes in less than a day. Refunds from the IRS can be in the user's bank in eight days.
  10. Features

  11. TaxACT is available for all types of income taxes. Whether the user is filing a 1040EZ or a complicated Corporate 1120 tax form, 2nd Story has the needed software available.
