Experiencing a small stroke, otherwise known as a mini-stroke, can be frightening and confusing. The sooner a person seeks treatment after having a mini-stroke, the better their chances are of recovery. Here are a few signs and symptoms that could indicate that you might be having a small stroke.

Difficulty Speaking

People experiencing a small stroke may find it difficult to both formulate words and to understand what other people are saying to them.

Dizziness

Dizziness can accompany a mini-stroke, which can range from mild dizziness to extreme vertigo.

Difficulty Walking

People who are having a small stroke might have trouble walking. This can interfere with their ability to receive help quickly.

Vision Problems

Vision problems can happen while having a small stroke, such as double or blurred vision.

Amnesia

Amnesia is characterized by a loss of short or long term memory, and can happen during or after a mini-stroke. It is usually temporary.
