  1. Meats

    • There are many meats that contain uric acid, including processed and natural meats: anchovies, hot dogs, herring, sardines, mussels, lunch meat, pork, turkey, rabbit, liver, bacon, veal, salmon, trout, haddock and deer.

    Dairy

    • Eggs are a dairy product that contain a notable amount of uric acid.

    Fruits

    • Dried fruits (pineapple, mango, bananas, apricots, raisins and dates), fruit jams, jellies and preserves contain significant amounts of uric acid.

    Vegetables

    • Dark green vegetables, asparagus, mushrooms and cauliflower contain moderate amounts of uric acid.

    Drinks

    • Alcohol, coffee, black tea, caffeinated, carbonated and fizzy beverages are all very high in uric acid.

    Other Foods

    • Additional foods that contain large amounts of uric acid are breads and cakes made with white flour, foods made with semolina or yeast, white rice, vinegar, chocolate, lentils, beans, oatmeal, roasted nuts and fried foods.
