Symptoms of Intestinal Candida

Intestinal candida is a condition that occurs when there is an overgrowth of yeast in the intestines. According to the Candida Society, many doctors do not recognize intestinal candida as an actual medical disorder. Yeast usually lives in the body without causing any negative effects; however, sometimes the candida can change into a fungal form and reproduce rapidly within the body causing a host of symptoms.

  1. Stomach Problems

    • Individuals with intestinal candida may have problems with bloating, excessive gas, diarrhea and constipation. Also, they may develop new food allergies and intolerances.

    Neurological Problems

    • Intestinal candida may lead to forgetfulness, concentration difficulties and reoccurring migraines.

    Pain

    • Intestinal candida may cause the joints and muscles to ache.

    Infections

    • Individuals with intestinal candida may have ear infections, and fungal skin and nail infections.

    Other Symptoms

    • Those affected by intestinal candida often have thrush, cystitis, allergies, sinusitis and severe fatigue.
