Spanish wedding cookies, also known as Mexican wedding cookies, are small cookies popular at Mexican weddings. They were known to be served at the end of Spanish weddings because of the belief that rich and sugary foods should be served last after the wedding meal. They have also grown to be a popular cookie at Christmas and other holidays.
