What Is Cellulite Treatment?

It is a well known fact that the majority of adult women suffer from some degree of cellulite. There are many genetic and environmental factors that lead to the lumpy, bumpy skin tone that is commonly seen on the thighs, hips and buttocks. Thankfully, several treatments have been developed to help combat it. It is important to find which cellulite treatment is right for you.

    History

  1. Cellulite forms when excess fat cells become trapped in the fibrous septae, which is the connective tissue that lies in the epidermal layers of skin. When the cells become trapped, they eventually harden, which gives the skin its lumpy appearance.
  2. Types

  3. There are several different cellulite treatment remedies currently available, the most popular being cellulite creams (Endermologie, Mesotherapy, LipoDissolve) and laser cellulite treatment.
  4. Function

  5. Cellulite treatments are designed to release trapped fat cells and increase circulation in order to create a smoother, tighter surface.
  6. Time Frame

  7. Creams will be applied several times a week, and in office treatments will be administered in a specific fashion for a certain period of time. It all depends on the severity of the individual's cellulite.
  8. Effects

  9. Depending on the treatment utilized, significant reduction in the visible signs of cellulite can be experienced. Maintenance treatments will be required to see lasting results.
  10. Expert Insight

  11. Combining cellulite treatment with a healthy diet and consistent exercise will drastically enhance your chances of reducing visible cellulite.
