Home Treatments for Acne Around the Mouth
Acne located around the mouth and chin can be the result of a Candida bacteria overgrowth. Candida bacteria can overrun the body's systems, resulting in acne, skin inflammations and fatigue. Candida-induced acne can be treatment resistant and difficult to cure. One way to counteract Candida acne is to treat it at home with baking soda, a powerful Candida-fighting compound.

Baking Soda Toner

Pour 2 cups of warm to hot water into a bowl, and add 2 tbsp. of baking soda to it. Splash the baking soda toner onto the face after washing.
Baking Soda Scrub

Mix 2 tbsp. of baking soda and enough water to create a loose paste. Massage the paste around the face for about 30 seconds after washing. Rinse well with water.

Baking Soda Mask

Mix 1 tsp. of baking soda with 1 tbsp. of clay mask. Combine well, and spread all over the face. Allow the mask to dry, and rinse well with water.
Baking Soda Spot Treatment

Mix 1 tsp. of baking soda with 1 tsp. of Calamine lotion, and apply it directly to the acne spots using a cotton swab before bed. Leave on overnight, and rinse off in the morning.
Baking Soda Compress

Fill a bowl with warm to hot water, and add 2 tbsp. of baking soda to it. Soak cotton pads with the baking soda mixture, and apply them to the face. Leave the compresses on for 3 to 5 minutes.
